The Dymax Dacron Filter Pad is a reusable filter media for mechanical and biological filtration. It traps loose particles of debris as water passes through, which helps keep your aquarium clear, and it gives beneficial bacteria a surface to grow on, which supports good water quality.

Each bag contains two white 32 x 12cm pads, made from non-toxic material and suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums. The pads can be rinsed and reused, so they keep working as a biological filter between changes.

How to Use

1. Unplug the filter at the power point.
2. Place the pad in your filter’s mechanical media section, where water flows through it.
3. Restart the filter and check the water is flowing normally.
4. To clean, rinse the pad in a bucket of aquarium water during water changes.

Please note: Rinse the pad in aquarium water, not tap water, as chlorine can harm the beneficial bacteria living in it. Always unplug the filter before maintenance and never run it dry.
