Description

The API Ammonia Test Kit helps you monitor ammonia levels in your aquarium so you can act before they harm your fish. Ammonia is one of the most common causes of fish stress and loss. It builds up from uneaten food and decaying organic matter, and fish release it through their gills and waste.

This mercury-free salicylate test suits both freshwater and saltwater aquariums and measures ammonia from 0 to 8 ppm. Each kit contains enough solution for 130 tests, making it an economical choice for regular water testing, cycling new tanks or checking water after a problem.

Key Features

  • Measures Ammonia: Reads levels from 0 to 8 ppm
  • Fresh and Saltwater: Includes separate colour charts for each
  • Mercury-Free: Salicylate test method
  • 130 Tests: Economical for regular monitoring
  • Complete Kit: Includes everything you need to start testing

What’s Included

  • 2 test solutions
  • 1 glass test tube with cap
  • 2 colour charts (freshwater and saltwater)
  • Easy-to-read instructions

How to Use

  1. Fill the clean test tube to the marked line with aquarium water.
  2. Add the test solutions as directed in the included instructions, capping and shaking the tube as instructed.
  3. Wait the recommended time for the colour to develop.
  4. Compare the colour against the correct chart (freshwater or saltwater) to read the ammonia level.

Please note: Rinse the test tube with clean water before and after each test for accurate results. Keep out of reach of children and avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Store in a cool, dry place.
