API pH Down lowers pH to make freshwater aquariums more acidic when levels rise too high. pH measures how acidic or alkaline water is. A pH of 7.0 is neutral, values above 7.0 are alkaline and values below 7.0 are acidic. Different fish need different pH levels to stay healthy, so regular testing helps keep your water in the right range.

pH Down is fast-acting, colourless and easy to use, and it won’t cloud your aquarium water. Because it’s phosphate-free and nitrate-free, it won’t encourage algae growth.

How to Use

1. Test your aquarium’s pH with a pH test kit.
2. To lower pH, add 2.5 ml per 95 L of aquarium water. For larger aquariums, add 5 ml per 190 L.
3. Wait, then retest pH before adding another dose.
4. Repeat gradually until you reach the desired pH.

Please note: For freshwater aquariums only. Contains acid, so avoid contact with the eyes and skin and keep out of reach of children. Don’t make large pH changes at once. Always follow the directions on the label.
