Eheim Blue Coarse Filter Pad 2 Pack for Classic 150 (2211) (2616111)

The Eheim Blue Coarse Filter Pad (2616111) is a genuine OEM replacement coarse filter pad designed specifically for the Eheim Classic 150 (2211) external canister filter, supplied in a pack of 2. The blue coarse pad is used as a parting layer between the mechanical and biological filter media — coarser particles are restrained and removed from the water prior to entry into the biologically acting filter layers.

The porous material becomes evenly soaked with water and traps large and small dirt particles. After a short start-up period, purification bacteria colonise the specially structured foam — providing intensive biological decomposition of harmful substances. The blue pads are reusable and can be rinsed and cleaned multiple times before replacement is required.

Key Features

• Genuine Eheim replacement part: Exact OEM fit for the Eheim Classic 150 (2211) external canister filter
• Coarse mechanical prefiltration: Traps large particles and debris before water reaches the biological filter media — reducing the load on biological and fine filter stages
• Acts as a separation layer: Positioned between mechanical media (Eheim Mech) and biological media (Substrat Pro) to prevent cross-contamination of filter stages
• Supports biological filtration: Porous foam structure supports colonisation of beneficial purification bacteria after a short start-up period
• Reusable multiple times: Rinse in old aquarium water to preserve bacterial cultures — do not rinse in tap water
• Replace every 12 months or as required: The blue sponge should be replaced every 12 months or as required
• Pack of 2: Two replacement pads per pack
• Genuine Eheim quality: Manufactured to Eheim's standards for reliable, consistent filtration

Compatibility

• Compatible with: Eheim Classic 150 (2211) external canister filter
• Not compatible with: Eheim Classic 2213, 2215, 2217, or other Classic models — each Classic model uses a specific pad size
